Man Medflighted After Car Strikes Tree In Falmouth

medflightEAST FALMOUTH – A man was medflighted to a mainland hospital early this morning after the motor vehicle he was driving struck a tree in East Falmouth.

Police and fire crews responded to the area of 681 Sandwich Road just before 1:30 a.m.

According to Captain Greg Clements of the Falmouth Fire Department, the driver was found on the ground and was believed to be thrown from the vehicle.

Clements said the victim suffered serious and life-threatening injuries and rescue crews transported him to the Falmouth Jewish Congregation parking lot at the corner of Sandwich Road and Hatchville Road to meet a medflight helicopter.

Falmouth police are investigating the accident and no further details were available.
