Mashpee Holds Community Picnic and Fireworks Event

MASHPEE – The Annual Community Picnic and Fireworks in Mashpee will be held on Friday from 5-10 p.m. in the field behind Mashpee Middle/High School.

The event includes carnival-style games, a dunk tank, face-painting and train rides.

There will also be food and live-entertainment, including a K9 dog demonstration by the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office and fireworks will begin around 9:15 p.m.

Over 6,000 people attended last year’s event and police warn that there could be delays on Rt. 151 and Rt. 28 during the picnic.
