MEMA Warning Public Not to Forget About Pets During Cold Season

HYANNIS – With the cold weather taking over the region, the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency is reminding everyone to take care of their pets.

MEMA recommends that pets be kept indoors when possible and to never leave pets in vehicles for an extended period of time.

Also its recommended that antifreeze be kept out of reach from pets and to use a towel to clean the feet of pets who come from the outdoors, to remove salt and chemicals that may have been used to treat ice and snow.
