MARTHA’S VINEYARD – The Island Cup finally returned to Nantucket.
The Whalers snapped a 12-game losing streak to Martha’s Vineyard over the holiday weekend.
The 42-0 blowout Saturday on the Vineyard was the most lopsided victory in Island Cup history.
Two local teams will play for state titles Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
Mashpee plays Wahconah at 1:30 for the Division 4 state championship and Falmouth takes on Marblehead for the Division 2A championship.
