Nature Photographer to Speak in Brewster

Event CalendarBREWSTER – A master photographer of nature will share his experiences in photographing animals next month at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster.

John Klingel, who describes himself as a highly experienced amateur photographer, has photographed many animals in the wild including wolves, African wild dogs, mountain lions, bears, foxes, orangutans, pronghorns and numerous birds and young animals.

Klingel lives in California during the winter and is a member and past Vice-President of the Marin Photo Club. During about five months of the year, he lives in Eastham in an 1860s farm house on Town Cove.

In past years, he has taught HDR and Focus Stacking for the Cape Cod Art Association.

He is an avid nature photographer and has traveled to many locations including Botswana and Borneo and to many locations in the US and Canada including Yellowstone, Basque del Apache, Machias Island, Monterey and the Triple D Ranch in Montana.

Klingel teaches a number of workshops including nature photography, high-dynamic-range imaging and Focus Stacking for the Cape Cod Art Association in Barnstable Village and for the Marin Photography Club in California.

The Marin Photography Club has ranked Klingel as a master photographer in nature photography.

The event is Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. and is free with museum admission.
