YARMOUTH – The United States Navy Sea Chanters are coming to the Cape next month.
The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce is bringing the chanters to the Mattacheese Middle School on Sunday, April 17 at 7 p.m. for a free concert.
The Sea Chanters are the United States Navy’s official chorus and performs numerous types of music, including sea chanteys, contemporary, patriotic fare and traditional choral music.
The chorus is led by Chief Musician Adam Tyler and performs for the pubic throughout the country.
In Washington D.C., they perform for the president, vice president and several military, congressional and foreign dignitaries.
Funding for the event was provided in part by Yarmouth’s Tourism Revenue Preservation Fund.
On the day of the performance the doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
Tickets can be picked up at the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.
