BARNSTABLE – The New Year is right around the corner and that means the new session of adult art classes will be getting underway at the Cape Cod Art Association.

Several classes will be offered starting Monday, January 11 that range in skill level from beginner to experienced.

In addition to the regular lineup of classes, the art association has added a new printmaking class that will be offered on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Reduction Linoleum Prints with Alice Galick will explore the process of reduction printing with a linoleum block and students will work with a variety of papers and methods of printing an image.

Classes are held Mondays through Saturdays and include multiple photography classes with John Tunney and an Experimental Masters class designed to increase artistic vocabulary and is geared for more advanced students.

Those interested in painting can take classes in watercolor, oil or acrylic painting.
