YARMOUTH- Yarmouth Police are investigating a drowning at the Riverview Resort on Neptune Lane yesterday morning.
Police and Fire crews were called to the resort just before noon and jumped into the pool to bring the victim to the surface.
After attempting CPR on the man, he was transported to Cape Cod Hospital where he later died.
The man was identified as 68-year-old William Butler of Springfield Gardens, New York.
Police say Butler was not staying at the resort with anyone and no one was at or near the pool when the drowning took place.
Police have determined that the incident is not suspicious.
