NOAA Releases New Regulations For Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass

fishing boatBARNSTABLE – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has released regulations surrounding the fishing of several species of regional fish for the next two years.

Due to four years of below average numbers, the summer flounder catch limit has been reduced by 30 percent.

Limits for scup are slightly down as well.

The limit for black sea bass however has increased from 5 million pounds to more than 6.5 million pounds for 2016 and 2017.
