CAPE COD – NSTAR crews are working to restore power to all it’s Cape and Islands customers today after Hurricane Arthur brushed by late last night.
As of 2:00 p.m. there were still 1,195 NSTAR customers without power.
More than half of the power outages, or 693, are in the town of Orleans.
After Orleans, Yarmouth and Falmouth still have the most outages with 177 and 97 respectively.
At the height of the outages at 5:15 this morning there were more than 7,200 customers without power, with Orleans being the hardest hit with 2185 outages.
NSTAR hoped to have power restored to all but 300 customers by 2 p.m. but that goal could not be achieved.
