Oil Painting Stolen from Orleans Art Gallery

Chickadee paintingORLEANS- Orleans Police are on the look-out for the culprits responsible for a stolen oil painting from a local art gallery.

Police say that sometime from Saturday, July 26 to Wednesday, July 30, a 20″ x 18″ oil painting tilted “Chickadee in Branches” was taken from the art gallery.

It is described as an oil on wood, has no frame and is valued at $900.

The owner of the gallery recalls a couple speaking a foreign language in muffled tones, then being distracted by one of the couple during this time.

The gallery owner is offering a $200 reward for information leading to the painting’s return.

Police are withholding the name of the art gallery at this time.
