Orleans Town Officials Give Update on Nauset OSV Closure

ORLEANS – Nauset Beach South is scheduled to close on Wednesday, June 7 at 6 a.m. due to the presence of unfledged Piping Plover chicks.

Chatham North Beach, south of Exit 6, is tentatively scheduled to close on Monday, June 5 at 7 a.m.

The Nauset Spit in Orleans has not definitive closure date yet, but officials say that it’s possible that by mid-June, there may be juvenile shorebirds present in the vicinity of Callanan’s Pass.
