Orleans will Honor Hubbard at July 4th Parade

fireworksORLEANS – The Orleans 4th of July Celebration Committee has announced that the family of the late David Hubbard, who was a long time member of the parade committee and other committees in town, will serve as the grand marshall.

The theme of the parade is United We Stand, Proudly We Serve, a suggestion of Piper Kavanaugh, a fifth grader at Orleans Elementary School.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. on July 4th.

The town’s fireworks celebration at Rock Harbor is scheduled for the following day, Saturday, July 5 at dusk, with a rain date of Sunday, July 6th.

The parade committee is looking for volunteers who can donate a couple of hours on the day of the parade and for set up and clean up for the fireworks event.

Those interested in volunteering, can email Bonnie Roy at [email protected].  Fourth of July Activities should be indicated in the subject line of the email.
