SANDWICH – Heritage Museums and Gardens conducted a school supplies drive this past holiday season to assist families in Sandwich.

Over 1,000 items, including binders, pencils, pens, notebooks and folders were dropped off by Heritage at the Sandwich Food Pantry this week.

The drive took place during Gardens Aglow, Heritage’s annual treasured holiday tradition.

“Heritage is dedicated to being a part of and a partner with our community,” said Heritage President and CEO Ellen Spear. “The Sandwich Food Pantry plays a critical role in assisting those in need. With two successful toothbrush and toothpaste donation drives in 2014 and 2015, we were eager to work again, on behalf of the Sandwich Food Pantry, to benefit families in need.”

Heritage Museums and Gardens opens for the 2017 season on April 15.

Heritage will announce future drives for the Sandwich Food Pantry to help fill needs.
