HYANNIS – Barnstable Municipal Airport and Peter Pan Bus Lines have announced a new stop at the Hyannis terminal as part of their daily express route servicing Boston’s South Station and Logan Airport set to begin today.

The official announcement took place Monday at the airport’s front lobby and featured comments from representatives of both Barnstable Municipal Airport and Peter Pan, as well as Barnstable Town Manager mark Ells, 2nd Barnstable State Representative Will Crocker, and Cape and Islands State Senator Julian Cyr.

“Peter Pan Bus Lines is pleased to provide our passengers with a convenient pick up location for our daily express service to Boston’s South Station and Logan Airport,” said Frank Dougherty, Vice President of Operations of Peter Pan Bus Lines. “By partnering with the Barnstable Municipal Airport, we can offer passengers safe and secure parking options at a discounted rate.”

The bus will still originate at the Hyannis Transportation Center and will continue to service the Barnstable and Sagamore park-and-ride lots.

The airport has also signed on as a parking venue for bus passengers. Riders will be able to live their vehicles at the airport parking facility at a discounted rate of six dollars per day with a printed or mobile Perter Pan bus ticket.

“We are thrilled to be able to give our customers and the residents of Cape Cod who commute to Boston a terrific option to consider with Peter Pan Bus Lines,” says Bud Breault, Barnstable Municipal Airport Manager. “Parking is an issue for many people who commute – the airport has a very viable option for them”.

Tickets for the new route may be purchased online through Peter Pan’s website or via their mobile app. Fares to Boston – South Station run just nine dollars, 24 dollars to get to Logan. Ten ride commuter books are also available at the Hyannis Transportation Center for 68 dollars.

Buses will be departing Hyannis daily beginning today at 5 AM, 6:15 AM, 7:30 AM, 12:15 PM, 2 PM, and 7:30 PM.
