Piano and Organ Celebration in Provincetown to Raise Money for Rare Instrument Upkeep

PROVINCETOWN – The Great Music on Sundays at 5 series of concerts, beginning formally on June 11th at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House on Commercial Street, will open for the season with a Piano and Organ Celebration on May 28th at 5 p.m.

The event will raise money for the town’s Instrument Trust Maintenance Fund to keep the Meeting House’s Steinway grand piano and 1850 Holbrook tracker organ in shape.

The Meeting House, built in 1847, is regarded as one of the region’s finest acoustic concert halls.

Participants at the May event may pay at-will with a recommended donation of $20 at the door.

Six vocalists and the Meeting House Choir will perform piano, organ, violin, vocal and choral music from a variety of genres.

The Great Music on Sundays at 5 series runs through October 8th.
