PLYMOUTH – The Pilgrim Nuclear power plant is running at about 20 percent of capacity as work is going on to repair a water heater that supplies water to the reactor vessel.
Pilgrim spokesman Neil Sheehan says the plant will be running at a reduced level for several days.
” One of these feed water heaters developed a leak on Saturday.”
“The plant has been operating at a reduced level since the weekend as they work to make repairs to that feedwater heater.”
The work is being monitored by inspectors from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission who are stationed at the plant.
