Pilgrim Referendum on the Ballot

power plantPLYMOUTH – Supporters of a plan to expand the emergency planning zone around the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station have collected enough signatures to put the question to the voters.

A non-binding referendum will be on the ballot in November to expand the planning zone from 10 miles to 20 miles.

A similar plan failed to pass in the legislature before session came to an end last week.
