WEST YARMOUTH – More information has been released on yesterday’s apparent drowning at the Bayside Resort in Yarmouth.
Thomas Flynn, 40, of Medford was found lying face down underwater in the shallow end of the pool. Police say Flynn was in the pool area alone and was found by a hotel guest.
Staff members provided CPR until rescue crews arrived. Flynn was taken to Cape Cod Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing by Yarmouth and State Police.
This is the second drowning incident at the Bayside Resort in just four months, after a 9-year-old girl from New York died in August.
