Provincetown Chosen for Solar Panel Grant

solar panelsPROVINCETOWN – Provincetown is one of three towns in the commonwealth chosen to participate in a new solar program.

Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, in partnership with the Department of Energy Resources, has selected three proposals for five communities to participate in the current round of Solarize Massachusetts.

In addition, the MassCEC has selected a non-profit organization to participate in the inaugural round of Mass Solar Connect.

According to Mass Solar Connect, the center and department of energy resources were impressed the overall quality of the community proposals submitted.

Besides Provincetown, both Quincy and Plainfield-Ashfield-Buckland were selected as a group.
