Provincetown Cultural Council Seeks Funding Proposals

Provincetown-High-14-620-65d-for-FBPROVINCETOWN – The Provincetown Cultural Council is looking for proposals for community-oriented arts, humanities and science programs.

The council has set an October 15 postmark deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants supporting cultural activities in town.

The grants can support a variety of artisitic projects and activities in Provincetown according to council spokesperson Grace Ryder-O’Malley.

Projects can include exhibits, festivals, field trips, workshops, lectures, short-term artist residencies and performances in schools.

The council will distribute more than $4,000 in grants this year.

Previously funded projects include the Provincetown Portuguese Festival, the Fine Arts Work Center, the Provincetown Theater, the Recreation Department and Recycling & Renewable Energy Committee.
