PROVINCETOWN – An event in Provincetown tonight will focus on global efforts to mitigate human impacts on whales.
Officials from the Global Whale Entanglement Response Team, a new organization in partnership with the Center for Coastal Studies and the International Whaling Commission, will talk about the goal of building a worldwide network of professionally trained entanglement responders.
David Mattila, the director of the Global Whale Entanglement Response Team, says the program focuses on building capacity training workshops and growing national networks for whale entanglement responses worldwide.
Tonight’s event is at Napi’s Restaurant at 7 PM. It is free and open to the public
