Public Health Advisory Issued at Orleans Pond

algaeORLEANS – Harvey’s Pond in Orleans was recently issued a Public Health Advisory from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Officials with the Orleans Health Department said the advisory is due to an excess of Cyanobacteria, or Blue Green Algae.

People and pets should avoid contact with the waters until safe levels of the bacteria have been reached, according to health officials.
