Rhododendron Festival to Line 100 Acres of Sandwich Museum Grounds with Blooms

SANDWICH – Over 100 acres of Heritage Museum and Gardens’ grounds will be filled with a wall of pink, red, white and gold blooms from Saturday, May 27th to Sunday, June 4th.

The annual Rhododendron Festival features thousands of plants and activities scheduled around their peak bloom.

This trademark Cape Cod flowering bush will be the subject of daily collection walking tours covering the plants’ history. Attendees may choose from the 11 to 11:30 walk and the 2 to 2:30 walk.

Another tour will cover rhododendron care and ideal growing conditions, while a pruning demonstration will focus on increasing bloom density.

More details about the festival are available at heritagemuseumsandgardens.org.
