FALMOUTH – A riding ring at Smithfield Farm in Falmouth was dedicated last night to a Marine Corps helicopter pilot killed in action in 2009.
The Captain Eric Jones Ring will be in honor of a local man who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
His mother Cynthia Jones is one of the founders of Heroes in Transition, which assists returning vets with transitioning back into society. Jones says although the ring has a new name it will serve a greater purpose.
Captain Jones was killed in Iraq during a combat mission.
