SAGAMORE – Market Basket workers across Massachusetts and New Hampshire are celebrating the reinstatement of CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, and the Cape is no exception.

Jerry Banks, assistant store director at the Sagamore Market Basket, said the employees could not have won the dispute without support from the public.

“A big thank you from this store down in Sagamore and from the company to our customers, because if it wasn’t for them, we probably wouldn’t have won this battle. It was a great team effort from all the associates and the customers in getting our leader back,” he said.

“I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this,” Banks added.

Banks said part-time workers are already being called back to work at the Sagamore store. He said he expects deliveries to start rolling in shortly.

Demoulas struck an agreement to purchase the remaining half of the company last night.
