Sea Education Association to Host Lecture on Caribbean Environmental Struggles

WOODS HOLE – The environmental and economic struggles faced by the Caribbean islands will be covered in a lecture from Dr. Craig Marin at the Sea Education Center, 171 Woods Hole Road in Falmouth, on Sunday, April 9th at 2 p.m.

The highly seasonal economy and longtime use of valuable land and resources for tropical crops has left little land for domestic or conservation use, and Dr. Marin with the Sea Education Association will focus on the organization’s study of these issues.

Marin is Assistant Professor of Marine Studies at Sea Education Association. The organization provides study abroad programs and access to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution research center.
