Search for Firearms in Mashpee Home, Man Later Arrested

police carMASHPEE – Officers with Barnstable, Mashpee, and Falmouth police, as well as the County Sheriff’s office, searched a home in Mashpee for firearms this morning.

The Upper Cape Special Response Team made the entry to the house.

Police say they were looking for B.J. Branch, 24, but he was not at the home on Ninigret Avenue in Mashpee at the time of the search.

 

In the home were six people, including three children, plus a dog.

Branch was later arrested after a traffic stop on Route 151 in Falmouth.

No information has been released regarding any charges he may be facing.
