Senator-Elect Cyr Hires 5 Cape Codders to His Staff

TRURO – Cape and Islands District Senator-elect Julian Cyr recently hired a group of Cape Codders from across Barnstable County to join his office.

Cyr, a lifelong resident of Truro, said it is important to hire individuals who understand the uniqueness of the district.

The five-person staff is comprised of members from Cyr’s campaign team as well as the current legislative director in retiring Senator Dan Wolf’s office.

Pat Johnson of Brewster will serve as Chief of Staff and has experience in past Massachusetts Senatorial campaigns.

Legislative Director Jordan Velozo of Buzzards Bay worked in her parents’ small business growing up, and is a recent graduate of Northeastern University School of Law.

Operations and Constituent Services Director Rachel Lake of Orleans has experience on Boston City Council.

Meaghan Callahan, Communications and Policy Director, originates from Harwich and is a Boston college graduate.

District Director Leslie Sandberg of Provincetown holds a 25-year career in the public sector.
