Special Election Underway to Fill Orleans Selectmen Vacancy

KA_MA Mass Primary Election Voting Orleans_2016 winter_030116_014ORLEANS – Voters in Orleans head to the polls today to fill a vacancy on the Board of Selectmen.

Former selectman Jon Fuller and Board of Health member David Currier are running for the position. Polls are open until 8 p.m at the Orleans Senior Center.

The seat is open after the resignation of John Hodgson in April, who cited a desire to spend more time with his family and devote more time to his business.

Hodgson was known for his efforts to increase ORV beach access in recent years.
