FRAMINGHAM – The Massachusetts State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section (CVES) continues to target truck drivers and contractors who are traveling with unsecured loads.

The two photos below are trucks stopped yesterday afternoon, their drivers each cited for unsecured loads. The truck in the top photo was stopped on Route 93 in Canton. The bottom photo was a stop on Route 3 at 44 in Plymouth.

CVES troopers cited almost 100 small truck drivers for not securing their cargo in an operation last week.

The State Police is reminding commercial motorists that unsecured tools, building material, or other cargo can fly off the back of trucks and strike motorists traveling behind them and cause serious injuries.

The State Police truck team will continue to make enforcement of this law a priority.
