MASHPEE – The Massachusetts State Police operating out of the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office are investigating the death of a Mashpee High School student.
Will Damon, 18, died on Friday at 1:48 a.m. and was taken to Falmouth Hospital, according to police reports.
A staff member in the District Attorney’s office said, “The death appears to be heroin related.”
She said investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office and a toxicology report before they announce the definitive cause of death.
“The investigation is open,” she said.
