MIDDLEBORO- Massachusetts State Police are on scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash that took place this morning around 10 a.m. on Rt. 495 in Middleboro.
Troopers say the adult male driver was travelling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and hit the left bridge abutment.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident scene is in the area of mile marker 10.6 and troopers have closed the left lane to facilitate the medical response, crash investigation and cleanup.
Massachusetts State Police will release the name of the driver pending notification of the next of kin.
