Steamship Authority Hires New Treasurer/Comptroller

WOODS HOLE – Terry Cote Vizard, Chief Financial Officer for Outer Cape Health Services, has been hired as Treasurer/Comptroller of the Steamship Authority.

Cote Vizard replaces Bob Davis, who will be leaving the position to take over as the Authority’s General Manager.

Davis replaces Wayne Lamson who retires in June after more than thirteen years as GM.

Cote Vizard, a Certified Public Accountant, comes to the Authority with more than 30 years of experience with government, health care, and not-for-profit organizations, including more than 13 years of audit experience in public accounting working for Deloitte & Touche LLP (D&T).

While at D&T, Cote Vizard was audit manager for the Steamship Authority’s account.

“We welcome Terry to the Steamship Authority. Her depth of experience in public accounting with clients such as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is impressive,” said General Manager Wayne Lamson. “Terry’s strong technical skills, along with her working knowledge of the Steamship Authority’s operation make her an ideal candidate for the position of Treasurer/Comptroller.”

Cote Vizard graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Bridgewater State College.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds certifications from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
