Striped Bass Catch Limit Reduced

BARNSTABLE – New regulations put in place by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission have reduced the catch limit on striped bass for both commercial and recreational fishermen.

The restrictions come as a result of decreased stock of the fish.

The catch limit for commercial fishermen has been reduced by 25 percent, while recreational fishermen will only be able to catch one fish instead of two.

The new regulations go into effect on January 1^st.
