WOODS HOLE – The public can come out to see a tall ship research vessel that will be docked in Woods Hole this week.
The 134-foot brigantine SSV Corwith Cramer is owned and operated by Sea Education Association, which specializes in high school and undergraduate level ocean education programs.
The Corwith Cramer is just wrapped up a five-week expedition in the Bahamas and will be docked at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Iselin East dock.
An open ship event is planned for Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. An Admissions Open House is planned from 1:30 to 3 p.m. for those interested in SEA’s programs.
The vessel was scheduled to arrive in Woods Hole Tuesday morning.
During its recent voyage, the Corwith Cramer conducted a series of scientific studies in the Sargasso Sea.
