Terrio, Bergeron Win Election in Dennis

election boxDENNIS – Dennis voters reelected incumbent selectman Wayne Bergeron to another three year term at annual town election Tuesday night, but incumbent Heidi Sears Schadt was unseated by John Terrio.

In the final tally, Terrio was the top vote-getter with 1,355 votes, Bergeron came in second with 1,274 votes and Schadt was third with 1,175 votes. The other challenger, Walter E. Hulse received 748 votes.

About 21 percent of voters turned out to the polls, or 2,514 people out of 11,728 registered voters in town, according to unofficial results released by Dennis Town Clerk Theresa T. Bunce.

In other results from the Dennis town election, Frank Ciambriello will continue to serve on the Old King’s Highway Regional Historic District Committee, Brian Carey was reelected to the D-Y School Committee and Paul Prue was reelected as a Water Commissioner. Those three seats were uncontested.
