Three Men Hospitalized After Taking Drug ‘Molly’

drugsHYANNIS – Three men were taken to Cape Cod Hospital Friday night after ingesting the drug known by its street name “Molly” on Friday night.

Barnstable Police responded to a disturbance at Trader Ed’s on Willow Street just before midnight.

The men said they had taken the drug and were sick.

They were transported to Cape Cod Hospital and were not considered to be in any imminent danger.

Police did not have an update on their status at this time.

Molly is the street name for MDMA (methylenedioxy methylamphetamine), also known as ecstasy, though police say the street form may include a variety of different chemicals.
