PROVINCETOWN – Provincetown officials say their summer season was strong, and are expecting this fall to be more of the same.

“The weekends are very busy. The rates in the rooms are more reasonable because they come down a little bit, so it’s a good time to visit and it’s one of the reasons a lot of people do,” said Provincetown Director of Tourism Anthony Fuccillo.

“We refer to it as ‘second summer’ because the weather is so beautiful,” Fuccillo added.

Fuccillo says tourism stays strong on the weekends in Provincetown until around Halloween. He says the town is quieter earlier on in the week.
