Two Arrested for Narcotics Trafficking in Hyannis

HYANNIS – A Brewster man and a Marstons Mills man were charged this week with narcotics distribution after Barnstable police arrested the two men in a Hyannis parking lot.

According to Barnstable Police Detective Lieutenant Sean Balcom, Josh McInnis, 21, of Brewster and Scott Jean, 34, of Marstons Mills were pulled over in a parking lot on Route 132. Police said, Jean, who was driving the car, at first stopped for police, and then ignored orders to turn off his truck, instead driving away.

After driving a short distance, another police cruiser was able to pull in front of McInnis, causing him to stop, police said.

Both McInnis and Jean were arrested for conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act and trafficking heroin. Jean was also charged with failure to stop for a police officer.
