EAST LONGMEADOW – Two Cape Cod town managers are finalists for the same job in Western Massachusetts.

Bourne Town Administrator Thomas Guerino and Harwich Town Administrator Christopher Clark are in the running for the town manager job in East Longmeadow.

According to WWLP-TV, the town’s interim administrator, Denise Menard, is the third finalist.

Clark was recently a finalist for the town administrator’s job in Yarmouth, but lost out to former Westfield Mayor Daniel Knapik.

Guerino was picked as the next town manager for Longmeadow in 2012, but was never able to agree on a contract and stayed on Cape Cod.

Bourne selectmen recently started the process of looking at a possible contract extension negotiation with Guerino.

His current contract expires at the end of June, but selectmen wanted to get it out of the way to focus more time on overrides for a fire station and new school and budget discussions prior to Town Meeting in the spring.

East Longmeadow selectmen are expected to hold additional interviews on November 30 and December 1.
