HYANNIS – Two men were arrested Thursday by Barnstable Police after a search of their residence in Hyannis found 50 Oxycodone pills, a 22-caliber rifle and a 30 round magazine.
The residence search came after a month-long cocaine distribution investigation involving 19-year-old Flavio Gambarott-Santa.
Police say the investigation involved a series of undercover cocaine purchases and as a result, police obtained a search warrant for a room rented by Santa on Stetson Street in Hyannis.
Around 2:30 p.m., Santa was stopped as he was driving from the residence with 21-year-old Marcos Silva.
Silva was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act and Possession of Class B (oxycodone) with Intent to Distribute.
Gambarotto-Santa was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act, Possession of Class B (oxycodone) with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class A with intent to Distribute and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.
Both were arraigned today in Barnstable District Court.
