GREEN BAY, Wis. – An Oak Bluffs native and a former high school football standout on Martha’s Vineyard will get his shot in the National Football League.
Cornerback Randall Jette signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers over the weekend following the NFL draft. Jette was not drafted in the seven round selection process and was able to sign with any team as an undrafted free agent.
The 5’11, 193-pound Jette will try to make the team in training camp.
Jette played his college football at the University of Massachusetts, where he was a four-year starter.
Jette was named to The Boston Globe’s First Team All-Defense while playing at Martha’s Vineyard High School. Jette holds Martha’s Vineyard High School’s single-game record for rushing yards with 247.
