HYANNIS – A woman was taken to Cape Cod Hospital yesterday afternoon after her small sedan collided with a box truck in Hyannis.

Police and fire crews responded to the intersection of Stevens Street and North Street around 4 p.m.

According to Hyannis Fire Captain Craig Farrenkopf, the woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Farrenkopf said the crash severed the fuel line of the Cape Fish & Lobster box truck causing a fuel leak.

Crews remained on scene for about 45 minutes to clean the fuel spill.

Farrenkopf said motorists should be careful at that intersection.

“It’s a crazy intersection. You have to have your guard up,” said Farrenkopf.
