Woods Hole Community Looks Favorably on New Terminal Plan

islandhome_2.jpg.jpgWOODS HOLE – Members of the Woods Hole Community Association are closer to a consensus with the Steamship Authority on plans for a new $50 million terminal.

For the past six months, members of the association have been working closely with the boatline on the terminal plans.

The most recent conceptual plan for the terminal was presented to the community earlier this week and was fairly well received, according to Woods Hole Community Association Co-President Catherine Bumpus.

Bumpus said the proposal shows a smaller building that is further from the water than the current building.

The Steamship Authority board still needs to approve the proposed design. The board’s next meeting is Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. on Nantucket.
