ORLEANS – On Friday, June 30, at 7:30 pm, world-renowned cellist Amit Peled will perform with the Meeting House Music Festival concert at Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans.

Peled, a musician of profound artistry and charismatic stage presence, is widely acclaimed as one of the most exciting instrumentalists on the concert stage today.

He will join Donald Enos, the festival’s founder, artistic director, and pianist.

Together, these three works exemplify what chamber music is all about: in the words of Donald Enos, “masterpieces on a human scale that explore the full range of human emotion.”

The composer integrates folk influences into a stirring classical piece and gives musical voice to love of homeland and simple joys.

Nadia Boulanger’s “Three Pieces for Cello and Piano” is at times subtle and mysterious, at times peaceful, and at times as frenetic as modern-day life itself.

At the hands of Amit Peled, who is known for his passionate performances and larger-than-life personality, and the superb pianist Donald Enos, this program is bound to move not only classical music lovers, but also those less familiar with classical music.

A single ticket for the event is $25 with those under 18 free.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance.
