Yarmouth Event To Call For End of Violence Against Senior Citizens

WEST YARMOUTH – Members of the community will gather on Friday afternoon to raise awareness and call for an end of violence against senior citizens.

The One Billion Rising Revolution Against Injustice of Violence Toward Elders event will be held at the Yarmouth Senior Center at 1 PM. Organizers describe the gathering as a rising of people to call for an end to violence through song, dance, and art.

The event is co-sponsored by Hyannis-based Independence House, an advocacy center for victims of domestic violence.
