Yarmouth Police Arrest Heroin Dealers

YARMOUTH – A search of a Yarmouth home this morning led police to find  13 grams of heroin, cash and drug supplies and resulted in the arrests of a man and woman for a series of charges.

Mark Sprague and Lisa Bennett were each charged with possession to distribute heroin and other drug charges.

Around 5:30 a.m., members of the Yarmouth Police Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at 29 Prospect Avenue in West Yarmouth.

Police say there were four adults inside the house when they executed the search warrant.

Police say they searched the house and in the bedroom shared by Mark Sprague and Lisa Bennett, a quantity of heroin was found in the top dresser drawer.

Additionally recovered was a digital scale commonly used in the packaging of narcotics along with numerous small plastic baggies and cell phones.

Items found during a search of the home included packaged heroin (approximate gross weight of 13 grams), eight Suboxone strips,  ziploc baggies, a digital scale, $183 cash, cell phones and a ceramic cutting plate with residue.

Sprague, who police say has 74 prior adult charges in Massachusetts, and his girlfriend Lisa Bennett, were placed under arrest and taken to the Yarmouth Police Department where they were booked and processed.

Sprague has been charged with possession to distribute heroin, conspiracy to violate Massachusetts drug laws and distribution of class B drugs.

Bennett was charged with possession to distribute heroin, conspiracy to violate Massachusetts drug laws and distribution of drugs.
