WEST YARMOUTH – Shoppers on Craiglist and other web-based purchasing platforms have the option of a safe meeting zone at the Yarmouth Police Headquarters on Brad Erickson Way.
The Department said that after instituting the safe meeting zone program eight months ago, many have stopped by to finalize their purchases in a well-monitored area.
Additionally, police are offering tips on how to increase safety in meetup scenarios.
They said shoppers should always meet during daylight hours, bring friends and never meet at either party’s home.
