Yarmouth to Host Elderly Caregiving Panel Discussion

Yarmouth SealYARMOUTH – The Yarmouth Senior Center will play host for a panel discussion on April 28 that looks to address the issue of growing caregiving needs and solutions for elderly family members.

The panel is a part of a national book tour entitled “Caring Across America” which supports author Ai-jen Poo’s recently published book The Age of Dignity: Preparing for the Elder Boom in a Changing America.

The panel looks to spur proactive conversations with aging family members and Poo states that these conversations should begin with two questions: 1) What joys could getting older and caring for one another bring? 2) What is our family’s plan for meeting our future caregiving needs?

The event is free to the public and will be held at the Yarmouth Senior Center located at 528 Forest Road in West Yarmouth and will run from 4-6 p.m. on April 28.
